And yet another My Little Pony-inspired fashion line…
We’ve seen so many of these My Little Pony-inspired fashion lines launch over the last 2-3 years, so what makes yet another stand out from the previous?
We don’t know….
But designer Lindsay Degen has created a buzz for herself at the New York Fashion Week Show.
Degen, a Brooklyn-based designer, began knitting at the age of 3 after her grandma gave her her first set of knitting needles. Out of high school, Degen enrolled at the Rhode Island School of Design as well as at Central Saint Martins in London, England. In 2012, Degen launched her first collection called “Ask Tell” to great reviews in the New York fashion world.
In 2013, Degen collaborated with Converse on children’s roller-skates. And earlier this year Degan won he Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation award as well for her inspiring work.
For New York Fashion Week, Degen, has turned to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic to wow audiences. Degen’s latest designs feature the ponies, in their brightly-colored glory, but put on display through the careful knits of Degen’s fashion sensibility. Degen’s knitwear serves a function for both men and women, and this week in New York she put together an amazing show that featured her models in pony dress on the stage with some robotic flowers that were designed by Chris Uphues and James DeVito.
