Actress Emily Blunt Signs On For New My Little Pony Movie

Just went you thought that the upcoming My Little Pony movie couldn’t be any cooler…

Hasbro has just landed actress Emily Blunt, best-known for her role in the Bruce Willis sci-fi film Looper and the Tom Cruise flick Edge of Tomorrow aka Live. Die. Repeat., for a unannounced voice role in the new, upcoming movie.     Hasbro blew all of our minds late last year when they announced that Tony-winning actress Kristen Chenoweth would also be voicing a character in the upcoming MLP movie–so the news of Blunt’s inclusion is epic!

Certainly, Blunt and Chenoweth mark Hasbro’s attempts to take the My Little Pony movie franchise on to the next level in the mainstream, as these actresses will be draws on top of the appearances of those (who we are all very well familiar with): Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, and Cathy Weseluck etc…

In case you haven’t been paying attention, the story line for the new Pony movie is as follows:  The Mane 6 set out to face a threat in Ponyville.  To save the town, they embark on a journey beyond Equestria.    The new My Little Pony movie will be directed by Jayson Thiessen and scripted by Meghan McCarthy.   It will be released via Paramount on November 3rd, 2017.  So, yes, we still have to wait almost two years yet.
