Well Bronies, the bullies are at it again. Yet again, in North Carolina too. What is up with the bullying of My Little Pony fans in N.C.? First Michael Morones, now: Noreen Bruce, the mother of nine-year-old Grayson Bruce says that her son is being pushed around for bringing a MLP backpack to his school. The school has asked Bruce not to bring the bag to school anymore as they claim it triggers the bullying.
His classmates exclaim that My Little Pony is something that is just for girls.
“They’re taking it a little too far, with punching me, pushing me down, calling me horrible names, stuff that really shouldn’t happen,” Bruce told WLOS News13, an ABC News affiliate in Asheville, N.C. “Most of the characters in the show are girls, and most of the people put it toward girls, most of the toys are girlie.”
Bronies have been showing their support of Grayson Bruce. The nine-year-old even has a following on Facebook, after one of his friends created a page to support him. Yet, why aren’t the bullies at the school being punished?
Grayson’s school has declined to speak publicly about this matter but recently put out a statement, “an initial step was taken to immediately address a situation that had created a disruption in the classroom. We take bullying very seriously, and we will continue to take steps to resolve this issue.”
